This is a workshop in Kirkland, Washington that combines modern Northwest Architecture with a number of environmentally friendly features including the increasingly popular concept of a green roof.
It was designed by Harrison Architects of Seattle.

I don’t know who the architect is, but so far I really like what I see.
I’m especially loving the post and beam timber framing that is going to allow huge windows which will give the residents views of Cadboro Bay.

The Railyards is a townhouse and condo development in Victoria, BC, where modern Northwest architecture is combined with a slight industrial feeling to create this excellent waterfront community.

The neighbourhood of James Bay in Victoria, BC, isn’t exactly known as a bastion of modern architecture. Almost all the new homes in James Bay are the horribly tacky faux craftsman style that is being built everywhere these days, but fortunately one builder has taken the road less travelled and built a very nice modern style house.
